After completion of my BEng in Aerospace and Astronautics in 2009 at the University of Southampton, I became a postgraduate research student as part of the new Institute for Complex Systems Simulation, also based at Southampton University.

My research is focused on simulation of electro-hydrodynamic multiphase flow which is focused towards the understanding of fundamental physical aspects of charged and evaporating fuel particles in turbulence. This research has relevance and potential applicability towards Homogeneous Charge Compression Ignition Technology.

What I like about my particular research is that the coding techniques used to simulate turbulence, the physics of particles and in general, the whole modelling aspects of creating a realistic physical simulation, is seriously cool. I hope that during my PhD research, I will be able to develop and publish some pretty cool physical simulations that are unique and relevant to many fellow researchers in my field.
