After completing a BEng in Mechanical Engineering at the University of Southampton in 2009, I became interested in the area of bioengineering. In order to continue with this interest, I began a postgraduate research course with the Institute of Complex Systems Simulation, of which I am now in my third year.

Working with supervisors Mark Taylor and Tiina Roose, I am modelling the activity of nerve endings at the knee joint, in an attempt to further our understanding of the causes of pain in this joint. This research is funded by the EPSRC.
