MEng Electronic Engineering, University of Southampton

I am currently enrolled in the new DTC Complex Systems Simulation programme within the Institute of Complex Systems Simulation. Coming from the school of Electronics and Computer Science at the University of Southampton I have an enthusiasm for technology and how we can best use it to model systems for understanding and exploitation. I have worked on a number of research dissemination activities including a traffic control stand for the 2011 Royal Society Summer Science Exhibition and have stood on the committee of the University of Southampton IEEE Student Branch for the past two years.

My research interests, which I explore with the Transportation Research Group in the School of Civil Engineering and the Environment, focus on the development of modelling driver route choice behaviour as he or she moves through a transportation system. Previous work has focussed on generalising system characteristics for static analysis, such as road demand and performance profiles, however my work focusses on assessing the impact of random events occurring over time such as incidents and other perturbations.

For a full description of my experience and skills please see my up to date CV
