My BSc is in Renewable Energy Technology from the University of Dundee and I have interests in decentralised energy conversion systems, their impact onto the existing power grid and smart-grid technologies. Currently at the ICSS, I am working under supervision of Prof Paul Lewin on mapping and classification of Partial Discharge using, above all, chaotic analysis.

Our current work has established an unsupervised statistical inference technique using surrogate data by means of which nonlinear invariant classifiers can be tested for their applicability on highly nonstationary PD field and laboratory data. This work has resulted in a paper which was accepted in the 2013 special issue of the IEEE Transaction on Dielectrics and Electrical Insulation.
