During this externship work will be continued on a previous project on modelling NIV face masks on human head models. The Abaqus models will be used to do a sensitivity analysis on the impact of changing certain parameters. For example what impact does wrong placement of the mask have on the pressures exerted on different parts of the human face.
This kind of information can prove very valuable for clinical situations in which NIV masks are used.
