School of Civil Engineering and the Environment Environmental Sciences Seminar

The Nature Conservancy is one of the largest and longest established conservation NGOs in the world. From its base in the USA, it operates across the world managing an extensive network of protected areas. Southampton is already collaborating with them on a project exploring the benefits of large scale community-led conservations in rangelands in Northern Kenya, with a researcher currently operating in the field.

The seminar will last 20-30 minutes and there will be time for questions after. The presentation should be of interest to anyone with interests in biodiversity protection and its interaction with human beings.
