This one day seminar on development and applications of high temperature superconductors (HTS) will address the current development status of devices using HTS conductors and the prospects for their full exploitation. Topics covered will include:

Key characteristics of HTS conductors that will lead to revolutionary applications

Latest progress in the development of long length YBCO conductors

State of the art in the development and testing of power applications and magnets

Cryogenic systems for HTS devices

Prospects and timescales for successful commercial exploitation – and the major challenges to be solved

Contributions for oral and poster presentations are welcome. Abstracts should be 250 words in length and submitted on-line. You can also now register for the event.

Registration deadline: 12 January 2010
