Teaching materials are available online.
Ian Hawke will introduce the very basics of Creating and Using Virtual Machines, using the freely available VirtualBox software as an example.
If you can, bring a laptop, to take part in the exercise, in which an Ubuntu Linux system will be run and configured inside the virtual machine environment.

Note that this event takes place at Boldrewood Campus (a 10 minute walk from Highfield Campus), in building 177: once you arrive at Bolderwood, it is the first building on the right hand side. Room 2023 is one level up.
