Amazon Web Services (AWS) provides a versatile platform for data storage, high performance computing, web hosting and application deployment. This seminar provides an introduction to some of the main features and terminology used throughout AWS, opportunity to become familiar with basic operation of the AWS dashboard and communicating with Amazon virtual machines. Students enrolled on FEEG6003 will have a username and password for AWS provided on the day, all other guests will have to sign up to Amazon Web Services manually or contact the organisers for a pre-built login. University personnel can sign up for a free AWS account here.
