I am studying for a PhD under the supervision of Prof. Syma Khalid. I graduated from the University of Southampton in 2015 with a MBioSci in Biomedical Sciences.
My project involves using multi-scale molecular dynamics models to study Gram negative bacterial membranes. I have progressed from coarse-grained to atomistic detail models, and will later use quantum mechanics calculations to identify the mechanism of action of a bacterial outer membrane protein.
