Background:
Lindsay-Marie graduated in 2006 from Northumbria University in Newcastle with a BSc (Hons) degree in Mathematics. It was there that she developed an interest in the field of Computational Fluid Dynamics (CFD) which was pursued further with an MSc in Computational Fluid Dynamics (CFD) at the University of Leeds.
She started her Ph.D. in 2007, focusing on the multiphase CFD modelling of coal thermal conversion in fluidised beds. Lindsay-Marie is currently working on a post-doctoral project which not only continues looking at the thermal conversion processes in fluidised beds but also expands into the field of carbon capturing.
Lindsay-Marie is also an associate member of the Institute of Mathematics and it's Applications and the Conference Leader for its Early Career Mathematicians group.
Research Interests:
• Mathematics • Computational Fluid Dynamics • Multiphase Modelling • Reaction Modelling • Biomedical Engineering
