Call for Abstracts - deadline 26 February 2010

You are cordially invited to attend and participate in the International Conference “Trends in Spintronics and Nanomagnetism” (TSN-2010), to be held in Lecce, Italy from 23 to 27 May 2010. The conference will provide an international forum to discuss recent progress and future trends in the field. In particular, we aim at bringing together the community of more conventional spin-transport, with that of molecular and nano-magnetism.

The conference begins with registration and welcome reception on Sunday 23 May in the evening. The technical programme starts on Monday 24 May and ends in the morning of Thursday 27 May. The programme will feature invited presentations by internationally recognised scientists, among which Albert Fert, Nobel Prize in Physics 2007.

Contributed oral and poster presentations will complete the programme. Each session includes an invited talk and six oral presentations (one reserved to PhD students). Invited Oral presentations are 30 minutes in length, with nominally 25 minutes for presentation and 5 minutes for questions, while students talks are 10 minutes long (8+2). Contributed Oral presentations are 15 minutes in length, with nominally 13 minutes for presentation and 2 minutes for questions. The oral presentations and posters will be selected by the Program Committee and the final program will be available in February 2010 on the conference website. We expect 150-200 attendees from around the globe to present their latest research. Authors of contributions are invited to submit a paper for the proceedings that will appear in Journal of Physics: Conference Series. Invited contributions have a maximum length of eight pages. By organising this meeting, we will provide you with an excellent opportunity for scientific and social interaction to exchange and share the latest scientific findings and technology development. We look forward to welcoming you in Lecce!

Yours sincerely The Organizing Committee
