I am studying on the 4-year iPhD at EPSRC CDT in Next Generation Computational Modelling. I have a dual-honours degree in Human Biology & Computer Science from Keele University.

My focus is on inter-disciplinary subjects between Biology and Computer Science; especially in aspects relating to Computational Biology and Bioinformatics within a genetic context. My degree research projects focused on use and development of bioinformatics tools which form the backbone of modern genetic research on online data repositories. As the field increasingly shifts towards computational approaches, I will be looking for novel ways to interpret and analyse vast amounts of big data being gathered across multiple global biotechnology databases, including but not limited to; DNA, RNA, protein and epigenetic. Future technologies could then reduce time and resources in developing new personal therapies to counter the spectrum of diseases associated in this field.
