I'm a PhD candidate at the Institute for Complex Systems Simulation (ICSS). I work on developing computational models of the interaction between natural and social systems, mainly in the field of climate change impacts, climate change vulnerability and adaptation to climate change.
My first (BSc) degree was in liberal arts and sciences at University College Utrecht, focusing on earth system science and public policy. I completed my MSc degree at Wageningen University in environmental sciences, focusing on climate impacts and adaptation. I also worked at the Dutch Ministry of Foreign Affairs and FD Kilimanjaro (a small Dutch NGO). Next to my professional interests I enjoy sports -running, road biking, sailing and tennis- and travelling.
