Dear Member,
The Institute of Physics’ South Central Branch would like to invite you to join its tour of the Institute of Sound and Vibration Research (ISVR) on 26th June at Southampton University.
The visit will begin at 13.00 and will consist of a look around the ISVR as well as a talk from Prof Victor Humphrey (please see the schedule below for further details).
This free event forms part of the lecture and activities programme that the South Central Branch puts on for IOP members each year and is a great way to meet people interested in physics in your local area.

14.45: Guided tour of the acoustic test facilities with Steve Dorney, Public Engagement Tutor. Include: large and small anechoic chambers, reverberation chambers, active noise control, 6-axis shaker, virtual acoustics tour of acoustic test facilities, active noise control, 3D sound, human factor lab.
