Disease Ecology Meeting

Matt Geary
Uni of Soton

Submitter
Luke Goater

Just a quick reminder about today’s disease ecology meeting, which will be held in room 3051, building 44, from 12.00 – 13.00.

Today, Matt Geary will be talking about exploratory data analysis. These methods are applicable to many different sorts of data (not just disease data), and should be useful for those who are just starting out in data analysis, as well as those with more experience. I’m sure it will prompt some good discussion as well!

These meetings are intended for everyone with an interest in disease ecology, spatial epidemiology and the types of spatial analysis and modelling methods that may be used in this field. There will also be a lot of relevance in some of our meetings for researchers in similar fields (e.g. species distribution modelling, health geography).

All are welcome to join us – it’s a great opportunity to get together and discuss on-going research, methods, conferences, publications and more in a relaxed and informal atmosphere. Feel free to bring your lunch. The first half of the session will be a presentation, and the second half will be set aside for discussion.
