To support the Mathematica site license at the University of Southampton, Wolfram Research is visiting the university as part of the Mathematica on the Road United Kingdom Seminars on Wednesday 12th March.

Learn about the wide-ranging, powerful computational capabilities of Mathematica – with an introduction by Anthony Zupnik, Wolfram’s Technical Presenter. The seminar will be held at 12:30 – 13:30 in: Building 2, Room 1039 (Lecture Theatre K) University of Southampton

This seminar will be given in Mathematica 9 and will show useful teaching and research examples for mathematics, the physical sciences, engineering, and business/economics. The content will help attendees with no prior experience get started with the Mathematica language and workflow. Since there is a large amount of new functionality in Version 9, most intermediate and advanced users will learn quite a bit as well. An optional two-hour training session will be held afterwards where the fundamentals of Mathematica's syntax, graphics, and programming language will be talked through. The training session will be held at 14:00 – 16:00 in:

Building 4 Room 3045 University of Southampton

Where possible, please could you invite your students to attend?
