This event will be in two parts, each 45 minutes long, with a break in between for tea/coffee and cakes.

Session 1. Essential Requirements for Programming on the Intel(r) Xeon Phi(tm) Coprocessor. In this session, the ingredients for successful Xeon Phi (tm) Programming are discussed, along with the development tools and methodologies available.

Session 2. A Xeon Phi(tm) case study.
In this session we look at a the experience and results of porting an application to run on the Intel(r) Xeon Phi(tm). We look at: What went well in the project; How difficult the project porting was; Useful tips and tricks; A comparison of performance on Xeon Phi(tm) and non-Xeon Phi(tm) platforms.
