Microsoft Research in Cambridge presents a free 2.5 day workshop designed to provide a unique view of the far-reaching and sometimes surprising ways in which computer science research is changing the world. Attendees will learn more about a selection of Microsoft research projects past and present, and Microsoft researchers will share their experiences and advice for making a successful career as a researcher in computer science. The event will also provide details of the wide range of freely-available Microsoft Research software tools.

The workshop will take place at Microsoft Research in Cambridge, from 16th to 18th June 2014 and is open to students and academic researchers only. It will include a series of talks of academic interest, interchangeable skills talks, and sessions that will enhance the networks of attendees by introducing them to top-level researchers, postdocs and graduate students.
