Additional information
The principle behind the Young Life Scientists’ symposia is to allow a platform for PhD students, post-docs, and early-career researchers to meet to discuss their work with their peers.
This year’s symposium will facilitate discussion of how and why modelling should be incorporated into modern signalling research. It is intended to be accessible to all – both those actively using modelling, and those with an interest in learning how modelling can help them achieve their own scientific aims. Please see the website for more information: yls2015.org.uk
We wish to invite talk and poster abstract submissions from a wide range of biological disciplines and subject areas, including (but not limited to):
• regulatory networks (e.g. EGFR)
• signalling pathways (e.g. MAPK)
• control of individual signalling molecules (e.g. G proteins)
• interaction between pathways
• lipid-mediated signalling
• Ca2+ signalling
• micro domain signalling
We particularly welcome submissions which discuss modelling in the context of unobservable signalling processes or identification of novel therapeutic targets.
