Astrophysics is a field of science that is extremely difficult to recreate in the laboratory. Therefore computational modelling is the most appropriate way to compare theory and observations of the sky. Be/X-ray binaries are one of the most common observable binary systems in the sky and yet there is much that is not understood about them - therefore making them of great interest (to astronomers).

During this seminar, I will be covering aspects of my research topic which involves modelling High Mass X-ray Binaries using smoothed particle hydrodynamics. I will talk about the stellar systems that I work on and and the methods that I use to model them.
