R is a language and environment for statistical computing and graphics. It is a GNU project which is similar to the S language and environment which was developed at Bell Laboratories by John Chambers and colleagues. R provides a wide variety of statistical (linear and nonlinear modelling, classical statistical tests, time-series analysis, classification, clustering, …) and graphical techniques, and is highly extensible. This workshop will cover a basic introduction to R coupled with RStudio including:
- Basic commands
- Data plots
- Data analysis
- R packages
A virtual machine with the necessary software will be provided. You might want to install VirtualBox ahead of the workshop here. More information and instructions can be found here.
A laptop is required.
