I have a background in the Earth Sciences and land surface processes and have worked as a geomorphologist previously.

I enjoy studying the general science of Complex Systems which to me is about finding universality amongst systems from different subject areas.

My research theme is in the area of resource distribution and collection systems. I undertake research mainly in an exploratory inter-disciplinary fashion. I apply this general subject area to natural physical processes such as river drainage catchments, biological systems and even social-ecological systems.

The methodology applied can be described as discrete dynamic cellular automata, generally coded in the Python language.
