Dan graduated from the University of Southampton in 2016 with an MEng in Acoustical Engineering, having developed an interest in computational acoustics throughout his undergraduate studies and during industrial placements. Dan has contributed to a wide variety of projects within the field of acoustics, from the design of school sports halls for acoustic clarity, to the de-icing of aircraft wings using ultrasonic vibration, to the numerical simulation and optimisation of Acoustic Black Holes.
Through the Centre for Doctoral Training in Next Generation Computational Modelling, Dan will be developing a framework for Optimising Acoustic Systems for Perceived Sound Quality.
