Les Carr and Simon Coles will introduce a range of JISC funded DE activity, primarily around the topics of Data Management and Repository Development.
Current Data Management projects probe two areas - institutional and disciplinary through the IDMB http://www.southamptondata.org/ and I2S2 http://www.ukoln.ac.uk/projects/I2S2/ projects respectively.
Additionally a recent and significant (£1M) award through the University Modernisation Fund has been made to develop a pilot nationwide Electronic Laboratory Notebook service based in the new HE 'Cloud' to be run by Eduserv.

Repository developments include the recent DepositMO project (also involving Microsoft) focussed on rapid repository deposit mechanisms.
