Oxford Global Conferences are proud to present the 3rd Annual Next Generation Sequencing (NGS) Congress, which is to be held on the 14th & 15th November 2011 at the Radisson Edwardian Hotel, London. The Congress is the sister meeting of the NGS Asia Congress which is running for the first time in Singapore on the 3rd and 4th October 2011.(www.ngsasia-congress.com)

Next-Generation Sequencing technologies are now seen as an indispensable tool in disease research. Pharmaceutical companies are using the technology as applications and platforms for all aspects of Drug Discovery, Development and Diagnostics. With the aim of reducing the cost of sequencing a whole genome to $1000, present estimated revenues of $746 million are projected to increase at an exponential rate to $3billion in 2017 for NGS related discoveries.

Over the 2 days, the conference will provide analysis of the current options of next-generation sequencing platforms, insight into uses and applications of the new wave of 2nd generation & 3rd generation technologies, focus on analytical genomics as well as exploring the development and possibilities of NGS in clinical development and molecular diagnostics. This year there are also dedicated streams to help you overcome challenges in data storage, analysis and management as well as a new track focusing on human metagenomics.

The event will attract over 250 senior-level decision makers working in areas such as next generation sequencing, analytical genomics, computational biology, oncology, RNA profiling, molecular genomics, biomarkers, infectious diseases, human metagenomics, bioinformatics & data management and clinical & diagnostics development from countries in Europe. This prestigious event provides a forum for practitioners and researchers to learn more about key solutions being provided to their industry, analysis of current technologies, network with their peers and address key industry concerns through a series of cutting edge conference presentations in a professional yet relaxed environment.
