PhD Complex Systems Simulation MEng Aerospace Engineering (Aerodynamics and Propulsion)
Having completed the DTC Complex Systems Simulation programme within the Institute of Complex Systems Simulation, my current work involves the simulation of turbulent flow around and within a marine rim-driven thrusters and generators as part of a Knowledge Transfer Partnership with TSL Technology Ltd. Unsteady simulations are used to investigate time-variant phenomena such as rotor-stator interaction, while steady-state simulations are used to estimate device performance in a time-efficient manner, allowing iterative optimisation of the design parameters.
My research interests are in the fields of computational fluid dynamics, high performance computing, turbulence modelling and design optimisation.
