Mario obtained a Laurea in Biomedical Engineering from the Politecnico di Milano (Milan, Italy) in 2004. He then moved to the University of Southampton (Southampton, UK) to pursue a PhD in Molecular Simulation, which he received in 2008. In 2009, Mario was awarded an EPSRC Postdoctoral Research Fellowship, which he held until 2012. His professional experience also comprises collaborations with industry (Johnson & Johnson, Unilever). He is currently a lecturer (assistant professor) in the School of Engineering and Materials Science at Queen Mary, University of London. When he isn't working, Mario tries to be a good father and husband.
