My research interests lie in complex social-ecological systems. Currently I'm exploring the role of complexity science in understanding the multiple facets of food security. More specifically, I'm looking at how agent-based modelling of small holder dynamics can be used to investigate the impact of development interventions in Malawi. My work has prompted collaboration between the Institute of Complex Systems Simulation (ICSS) and Attaining Sustainable Services from Ecosystems (ASSETS).
