Our working hypothesis is that with increasing age, genotype and lifestyle, the clearance of Amyloid and soluble metabolites along the basement membranes of capillaries and arteries fails, leading to Alzheimer's disease. We are working on novel biomarkers and efficient therapeutic strategies aimed at enhancing the removal of amyloid from the ageing brain.
